Most releases in the database have it as a Series, proposing to change them all to Label.

    Hello carrick44
Thank you for creating a thread for this small mass edit, and I am sorry for leaving it like this.
I am totally agree with mass change to update to label.

Looks like a series to me

As mentioned it does look like a Series, but the parent label, Siesta, clearly calls it a Label. Besides the image I linked, on their website they call it a Label numerous times.
    https://web.archive.org/web/20010302122131/http://www.siesta.es/ingles/reverin.html
    Per RSG §4.6.2. on Series
“Sometimes, it is not apparent whether the branding is meant to be a series or a label, for example "Talkin' Loud Classics". Treat it as a label until there is proof it should be a series.”
So far there is no proof that this is a Series except that it “looks” like one. The evidence points to calling it a Label.

Since every release has a sequential number spelled out (“One” through “six”) my vote is Series

    Getting back to this finally...
I don't think this is a choice to vote on when the parent label clearly calls it a label and not a series. And the term label is used on the release itself.
Here is an interview from the time these releases were coming out with the owner of Siesta where Riviera is again referred to as a label.
    https://www.chickfactor.com/interviews/mateo-from-siesta-records/
"mateo: mmm…reverie is a label devoted exclusively to music for children or for adults who retain a playful sensibility. it has its own context, rules, artwork…the aim was to create in association with mike alway a thematic label specialized in music for children, a new music genre. of course it could have been released directly under siesta but from the logistical and artistic point of view it was reasonable to start a sublabel. continuities are crucial. before [press time] the second compilation, simultaneous ice-cream, will be released."

Finally getting back to this (again)…bumping

I thought this proposal was pretty straight forward since there is clear evidence that the parent label, Siesta, considered Riviera a Label and not a Series. I know we at times ignore what Labels say and go with “as on release”, but as is shown above on the first Riviera release, it calls itself a “label”.

So do we call this a Series since it “looks” like one, or go with what the release and parent label say and call it a Label?

Pinging some s who have recently commented on discussions on Series.

looking at the releases which has images with Reverie and a spelled number - I see it as a part of the title and even included in artwork in the same time
an odd way to use a label or series though - difficult to in the company logistic system (one, two, three .... instead of 1, 2, 3 ....) but if recordcompany mention it as a label it seems to be their intention

The MP3 release do not belong there IMO

The label for that release was corrected 6 months ago, but due to the Label page bug it still appears on the page.

Very clearly a label. Numbering system is no proof for series. There has to be an official source that calls it a series, end even then it could still not be a series in discogs .

+1 for label, unless a source can be provided stating "series", per 4.6.2. ("Sometimes, it is not apparent whether the branding is meant to be a series or a label [...] Treat it as a label until there is proof it should be a series").

They also call it a series:

Actually I think they are referring to a “series” of Various Artist compilations released on Reverie. "Dream Drops" is Reverie "Five", not "Three" and the next sentence reads,
“A record more enigmatic than even it's highly individual predecessors, "Algebra spaghetti" and "Simultaneous ice-cream"."
Those were also Various Artists releases and were Reverie One and Two.

That same archive link will bring you to the page for the Mild Euphoria release, Reverie Six, a single “artist” album. The promo text for that reads,
“Mild Euphoria's "Let's dissolve" is the latest in the series of highly original magazine-style productions from the team that brought you last year's Lollipop Train and Maria Napoleon LPs and the recent albums for siesta by Death by chocolate and David Candy.”
Lollilop Train and Maria Napoleon were the two other single “artist” releases on Reverie. The Death By Chocolate and David Candy albums were released on If....
