Bob Altshuler

American label executive and marketing manager.
General manager of Candid.
Starting in the mid-50s, working for Riverside Records, he bacame in the 60s,
Director of Publicity and Advertising for, sequentially, Columbia.
Before his retirement in 1991, he held the position of CBS Records senior vice president.
As record collector, he owned one of the largest know private collection of jazz and blues,
that counted about 250,000 items, donated to the Library of Congress in 2003.
