Former Principal Timpani with London Symphony Orchestra (1964-2000).
He was Professor of Timpani at Royal Academy of Music (1993). Head of Timpani and Percussion at the Royal Academy of Music (1994-2000). Senior Professor of Timpani at the Royal Academy of Music (2000-2004).
