Kirsty MacColl

Kirsty MacColl (born on October 10, 1959 in Croydon, South London, UK - died December 18, 2000 in Cozumel, Mexico) was a singer-songwriter from England, UK. She was the daughter of folk singer Bombay Bicycle Club).

After a brief stint in 1978 with her first band Louis Lillywhite.

Kirsty died whilst swimming with her children in Cozumel, Mexico after being hit by a speedboat which had crossed into an area restricted to swimmers only. Her final album Tropical Brainstorm was released posthumously, in early 2001.
