His Hollywood works include The Ten Commandments (1956), The Magnificent Seven (1960), The Great Escape (1963), Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967, Academy Award), Animal House (1978), The Blues Brothers (1980), Trading Places (1984) and Ghostbusters (1984).
Not related to Leonard Bernstein, though they were friends.
