Tom Wilson (2)

American record producer.
Best known for his work in the 1960s with The Velvet Underground.

Wilson started the Harvard New Jazz Society in 1953 and founded Transition Records in 1955 on which he released his own jazz album in the same year. He was also a jazz lecturer during this time and supervised many jazz concerts and seminars.
In December 1958, he ed the A & R staff at ABC Records.
