I think this is probably a repress not a reissue words

I just purchased this in February 2025 and I can confirm that this pressing is pristine, at least to my ears. There is zero surface noise, clicks and pops, and the record is perfectly flat. Maybe others might not agree with my assessment based on their quality standards and setup, but I'm totally satisfied. Sounds like R.E.M.

have to agree with comments below after opening and listening to side 1 i immediately came back on here and ordered a first pressing because this reissue just doesent do it for me

I think they fixed it because they repressed this. I bought it in January 2025 and it was years of waiting because all I could find the picture disc. So this repressed and it matches the runoff information. Sounds clean and great to me. Best of all I got it for 50% off ($10).

I have the loud WHOOSH at the start of each side, and it sounds pretty flat - not usually a big deal as the music is great, but I paid $37 for this at my local shop and that feels like highway robbery (not a knock on the shop BTW) 4 stars for the music and the cool looking disc but for the price this is a little weak.

Wikipedia gives release date as Aug. 24, 1982. Does that carry authority?

I have 3 different pressings and they all sound phenomenal but, this one is on another level.

Have this copy (no barcode, Side B listed first on back cover), but the Quiex vinyl is purple, not amber, and I am not seeing any purple Quiex pressings listed here... anyone else?
